Right now, we offer Himalayan Salt licks in 2 sizes. We’ll test market a couple other sizes in the near future, as well as improved hanging devices. We can get the licks in any size for any holders you currently retail as well. Just let me know the dimensions, and I’ll get them for you.

  • We’re finding as we explain the benefits of Himalayan Salt for horses, people are also very interested in using it themselves. We can also get Himalayan Salt “people products“, and are adding those to our listings. Let us know what you or your customers are looking for if you don’t see it on the site. We’ll get it for you, and start adding those products to the site listings!
  • Our sister site,  EquineTeleseminar.net, carries products we’ll test market in tack and feed stores in a few areas. Samples are available on these products as well – just ask.

We’re always coming across innovative individuals and products for equestrians, and will keep you apprised of any developments in this area. If you have an interesting product that deserves marketing, especially to equine retailers, talk to us, and we’ll see what we can work out.

Please visit the Become A Dealer page, and also read through the Dealer FAQ that you find on that page.  I am adding to both these FAQs all the time right now, and if you read through it carefully before you email us, you’ll find it does answer a lot of your questions.  If you’re interested, sign up to the mailing list on either of those pages, and fill out the Dealer Application. We’ll approve you as soon as humanly possible.

THIS IS NOT A CREDIT APPLICATION!

It just gives us the info we need to get your information on the website, and to set up an account for you in our bookkeeping.  We offer some special services to help you get your business established, and we go into more detail on those in the Dealer FAQ.

While we feel our salt licks are an excellent value, we know there is the possibility an issue may arise, and product returned by the customer. As we guarantee satisfaction for both retailer and customer, we have tried to adopt a policy that works for everybody.

We encourage our retailers to accept all returns of product, whether or not it’s in saleable condition. Your customer’s lifetime value is worth more to both of us than the price of a single block of salt!

We have published more specific directives, which are located in the dealer area, and of which you’ll receive a printable copy when you complete your first transaction with us.

Our sister site,  EquineTeleseminar.net, carries some products that we’ll test market in tack and feed stores in a few areas.

  1. We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
While we know the customer isn’t “Always Right”, we know their lifetime value is usually worth more than the margin on a salt lick, so we encourage our retailers to take returns on our product. We’ll comp you if it’s not in saleable condition, with proper documentation. If YOU are having problems selling product, we’ll work directly
with you to help you display it better – even help you find ways to get people in the door. Learn more about returns in the Dealer Info Pak.
  2. While we retail, we don’t compete with you for business. We have our retail products priced at MSRP, plus customers have to wait a few days. We also recommend they find somebody in their area to purchase from when at all possible, and we offer support to them for helping us bring new retailers in. While there are a lot of
retailers online, we primarily offer something different – support for businesses.
  3. You automatically get a free listing on the HorseSalt.com Find A Retailer page. This helps people find you when they come to our site. If you have a website, we include a link to that as well. Having a website is extremely beneficial for your business, not just because it offers information on you and your business, but because it establishes you as more credible – even if people don’t go to it, they want to know it is there.
  4. You get a free business telepak, from one of the  EquineTeleseminar.net calls Patricia’s done with various individuals on business topics. You do have to sign up to the mailing list to get that telepak. We also plan on having mastermind calls, where we can all talk and bring up issues so we can help each other work through things that are going on in our businesses. We’ll bring in some guest speakers on business topics of interest, and will offer other free items in the coming free retailer membership site.
  5. You get products your clients/customers are interested in, to create new profit centers for you. As we find new items, we’ll
let you know. If you have something unique that our unique market of equine businesses may be interested in, let us know, send us a sample, and we’ll see what we can work out.
  6. We’re developing better packaging for you. Initially, the salt licks are simply shrink wrapped, and the ropes bundled separately in groups of 12 (or 8, depending what size lick they come with). Our initial packaging experiments have bundled the rope with the salt lick, and added a printed insert, which was well received by our retailers tired of struggling with loose ropes. As our volume grows, we’re improving the packaging, offering you a beautifully branded item instead of a generic one, giving it a higher value to your customer.
  7. We run advertising campaigns, regionally and nationally in various print and broadcast media. This will direct people to you, their local retailer, for their product.
  8. We’re always developing and testing sales media for you. We’re gathering testimonials, developing posters, print ads, product brochures, banners and a variety of POP displays and media for you to use in the sales process. We’re also sharing marketing examples to help you cut the creative learning curve in designing your own displays.
  9. We’ll help you set up your display, and educate you and your staff. We’re available on a limited basis to come into your
brick-and-motor storefront or booth at an Expo, Open House, or similar event where we help you set up an initial display, educate your staff, and talk to customers. We’re also developing this info online as well, and it will be available in the dealer membership area.
  10. We’re improving the ordering process. We’ve recently set up our own shopping cart and an auto-ship program, where you simply tell us how many of what size and volume you want, and it’s shipped on a monthly basis. This helps both of us plan our inventories and cashflow. We’re also able to offer discounts and bonuses for those on the program.
  11. We’re finding complementary markets. Specifically, one market we are very interested in developing is having horse shows offer HorseSalt Himalayan salt licks as prizes. This not only sells our product, but it creates great levels of interest in those who don’t win, greatly increasing the perceived value.  This is extremely beneficial if you have a tack trailer at shows, and/or if you sponsor classes.
  12. We’re investing in charities. Patricia’s been involved in one way or another with horse rescues since 1999, and is always looking for ways to assist them in learning how to better assist the horse industry. She also supports a variety of other non-profits. See the giving back page for more on those to which we’ve donated. We’re also implementing some nationwide incentive programs for our dealers, to encourage and reward them for participating. Be sure to
get on the newsletter to learn more as this program evolves. Charity work isn’t just for the marketing or publicity it brings – it’s an investment in our industry as a whole.
  13. We’re JVing with youIf you have a mailing list, we offer the opportunity to JV with us and earn both one-time and re-occurring commissions from our ever-growing family of websites. Our sister site EquineTeleseminar.net offers one-time commissions on sales of digital goods, and we’re adding a stable of paid membership sites, offering up to 50% re-occurring commissions! The best money you’ll ever make is money where you have to do none of the work... Don’t have a mailing list? We’ll help you get started building one!
  14. We’re always looking for more ways to help you build your business.
If you have an issue of some sort, run it past us. We may be able to find a way to help out – and it will help others who have this same issue.
